Transcriptions are kept on every tier — the notation, MIDI and MusicXML stay in your account after the audio is deleted, subscription or not.

Which one to pick. Most people use a tool like this in bursts — a fortnight on an album, then nothing for months — so the monthly plan usually gets cancelled after the first month and works out dearer than the year. Take the monthly one if you want to try it without committing; take the yearly one if you already know you will come back. Either way, cancel whenever you like and access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

Questions people ask before paying

Why is the preview taken from the middle of the song?

Because intros often have no drums. Thirty seconds from the start would show you an empty stave and tell you nothing about whether the tool works.

What happens to my transcriptions if I stop paying?

They stay. Audio has a retention window, but the notation, MIDI and MusicXML remain in your account and can be downloaded at any time. Nothing you made is held hostage.

Do I have to subscribe to try a whole song?

No. A free account gives you three complete songs a month — not a clip, the whole song with every feature — and there is a full song already transcribed that costs nothing and needs no account. If you learn a song a month, the free tier is the product.

Is the same model used on every tier?

Yes. Paying does not buy a better transcription — it buys more of them. The accuracy figures on the about page apply to everyone.

How do I cancel?

Through the link in the receipt you were emailed when you subscribed. Cancelling stops the renewal — it does not cut off the time you have already paid for, and your transcriptions stay either way.

Can I use the transcriptions commercially?

The transcription of a recording you have the rights to is yours to use. Transcribing music you do not have the rights to is your responsibility, as set out in the terms.

Not sure yet? Look at a whole song already transcribed — real recording, real output, nothing hand-corrected.
